Day 181/365

I really don't think I have a description that can do justice to this picture, aside from '...Catapulters'. :)

Day 167/365

I was struck today by the transient nature of life (ie, my life now :). This feeling was probably triggered by a mix of looking through old photos and the start of this year's Operation Catapult summer camp - the camp I went to just one short year ago. And yet, so much has happened in that short year; relationships started and closed, hellos and goodbyes - perhaps most of all, struggling to find a link between what was and is ending, and what is beginning. I am starting to realize that life doesn't stay comfortably put; it marches forward at a breathtaking pace. This is saddening, frightening and exciting. I pray for the grace to trust God.

"Well I don't know, if you can see
The changes that have come over me.
These last few years, I've been afraid
That I might drift away.
"I've been telling old stories, singing old songs
That make me think about where I came from.
And that's the reason why I seem
So far away today"

Her Majesty's Commonwealth has gifted the world with many improvements, not least of which comes in the form of fake Bassett's All-Sorts. Thank you, ma'am.

Day 158/365

I'm told that this is an hibiscus, though hibiscus sounds like an ailment one might have in the back. Whatever the case, it doesn't detract from the natural beauty of the flower.

Day 156/365

Words cannot begin to describe the joy and love that was seen today. I will say, though, that Rachel's face as she walked down the aisle was perhaps the most beautiful sight I have seen so far in this life.

Congratulations and much love to you both.

Day 155/365

"Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future. Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few that hold on."

Day 155/365

I'm coming to realize that I will not magically come up with brilliant photos every day. I need to work at it (no joke, really!). In hopes of achieving this, I am thinking about doing a themed mini-series, maybe a week long, of photos describing/addressing a certain topic or medium. Any suggestions are welcome.

This particular image was taken in hopes of procuring a last 'sibling together' photo. We did eventually achieve our goal (this picture is funnier though).
